GREENWOOD, Ind. -- College Sports Communicators officially announced their 2024 Academic All-District teams for the 2024 football season, and for the second straight season, eight Bruins find themselves on the list.
Ty Borde (Psychology),
Aaron Boyea (Business Administration),
Bryce Goetz (Management),
Chavis Lee (Kinesiology),
Blake Mazurowski (Engineering),
Kiegan Schaan (Kinesiology),
Elias Polanski (Kinesiology), and
Noah Tack (Business Administration) all were named to the Academic All-District team. In order to be named, student athletes must maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 while also playing in at least nine of the 10 games on the season.
Schaan, Tack, and Goetz all pick up the honor for their third consecutive year, becoming the first Bruins in program history to do so. Mazurowski and Polanski, meanwhile, earned the honor for their second consecutive season. Fox picked up the maximum number of All-District spots that a team can achieve (eight) for the second straight year — Linfield and Whitworth were the only other NWC teams to accomplish that feat.
As part of the nomination process, athletes were screened to be considered for the Academic All-America award. Thanks to their First Team All-NWC seasons in 2024, Schaan and Tack are eligible to be considered for an Academic All-America honor.
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced Jan. 28, 2025.
