HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office announced its student-athletes of the week for Oct. 21–27, with
Ben Rembisz and
Kuyper Assink named to the weekly honor roll.
Rembisz contributed 12 points in the Bruins' 48-23 win over Puget Sound, battling through strong wind gusts of more than 20 mph for an efficient kicking day, earning special teams student-athlete of the week honors. The junior made both of his field goal attempts — one from 27 yards and one from 23 — and all six of his PATs. On kickoffs, he also booted two touchbacks.
Assink was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line, putting up a career-high three sacks in Fox's win over Puget Sound, securing defensive student-athlete of the week honors. The sophomore's three sacks were for 17 yards and put the Logger attack on its heels. In addition to his TFLs, Assink had one QB hurry.
George Fox will face Willamette on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Salem, Ore., before returning to Stoffer Family Stadium for Senior Day on Nov. 8.
