HILLSBORO, Ore. – The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of November 24–December 1, with
Hanne Hopkins named to the weekly honor.
Hopkins was the driving force behind George Fox's nail-biting 62-61 victory over Redlands. The junior totaled a career-high 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting to go alongside five assists and four rebounds. Hopkins had seven straight points in the fourth quarter to help the Bruins go from a 55-50 deficit to a 57-55 lead. In the closing seconds, up 62-61, she recorded the game-winning block at the buzzer to give Fox the win. This is Hopkins' third career NWC Student-Athlete of the Week honor and her second of the season.
Hopkins and the women's basketball team will host Willamette on Friday, December 5, to open conference play.
