Erickson Named to D3Football.com All-America Team

12/22/2025 11:00:00 AM

MINNEAPOLIS -- The 2025 D3football.com All-America rosters have been announced, with Jacob Erickson of the George Fox football team becoming the sixth individual to be named a football All-American

Erickson adds to his trophy case, earning the All-American award to go alongside his 2025 Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year and D3football.com All-Region honors. A monster at defensive end, finishing seventh in the nation with a program-record 12.0 sacks. Erickson also set a career record with 29.5 sacks in his three years on the field. For a five-sack performance against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (another program high mark), Erickson was named NWC Student-Athlete of the Week and to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

In addition, Erickson was 14th in the nation with 18 TFLs (14th in the nation), to go alongside 62 total tackles — leading the team in both stats. While facing double and triple-teams up front all season, Erickson forced two fumbles, recorded 11 additional QB hurries, and blocked two kicks.

"I am so proud of Jacob," Bruin head coach Spencer Crace said, "This guy is the epitome of what it means to be 'True Blue'. He's deserving of everything that comes his way because of how hard he works and the humility in which he carries himself. I'm fired up to coach Jacob for one more year as he leads not only this defense, but this entire program."

The record-setting season ends with Erickson being named a Third-Team All-American. He becomes the first All-American since Leon Johnson III was named to the D3football.com, AP, and AFCA All-America teams in 2022. Erickson is one of six individuals to be named an All-American in GFU program history, alongside Johnson III (three times), Ethan Hoffman, Nolan Schuler (twice), Caleb Dalzell (twice), and Charles Riga (twice).

The senior defensive lineman was one of five NWC players to be put on the All-America team, alongside Cade Johannsen (P, Linfield, First Team), Kenyon Johnson (CB, Linfield, Third Team), and Jacob Schuh (RB, Pacific Lutheran, Fourth Team). 2025 marks the 27th season D3football.com has named an All-America team.

Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced following the Stagg Bowl matchup between Wisconsin-River Falls and North Central on January 4, 2026.
