NEWBERG, Ore. -- The Bruins started off their season strong with a 7-0 home victory over the Linfield Wildcats.
How it Happened

The Bruins swept singles play to stay perfect on the afternoon. Wiker remained in the No. 1 spot, and won her first set 6-0 before her opponent retired from injury. Bobkiewicz also dominated in two sets, winning 6-0, 6-1 as the No. 2 singles.
Shanah Denham got her first singles win of the year, winning 6-0, 6-2.
