TACOMA, Wash. -- The Bruins continue their hot streak, winning all nine of their matches and sweeping the Loggers 7-0.
How it Happened
Fox made quick work of the Loggers this afternoon, winning all of their doubles matches 6-1 to secure their first point of the day.
Kalli Wiker and
Riley Bobkiewicz teamed up in the No. 1 doubles spot, defeating Puget Sound's Kaylee Yamada and Paige Shinall. The Denham sisters paired up for the first time this year, winning their match in the No. 2 doubles spot.
Arianna Rader and
Juhree Kizziar got in on the action as well, winning both of their only matches of the day to cap off doubles play.Â
In singles play, Wiker kicked things off against Yamada, playing the closest match of the afternoon. She ended up taking the victory 7-5, 6-3, avoiding a third set and remaining undefeated on the year.Â
Bobkiewicz and
Shanah Denham played well in the No. 2 and 3 singles spots, as both of them won their matches 6-1, 6-3.
Sophie Denham played a tight first set, but took control in the second as she secured herself a 7-5, 6-0 victory.
Abigail Bond and
Cassey Hitch made their first appearances of the day in the singles matches, with Bond winning her match 6-2, 6-1 and Hitch winning 6-1, 6-4. Both have been solid in the five and six spots all year and picked up a quality couple of match wins today as well.Â
