NEWBERG, Ore. -- The George Fox STUNT team made history on Friday, hosting the first-ever STUNT Tournament in the Pacific Northwest. In the tournament, the Bruins won the first game against Sonoma State, 18-1, before losing the second to Trevecca, 7-20.

How It Happened
It was clear from the first performance that the Bruins would be off the races — Fox scored three points in the first quarter, and took a 6-0 lead into the halftime break. The Bruins kept things going in jumps and tumbling with three more points to a 9-0 lead.

The Bruins continued to dominate with nine more points in the final quarter to finish with a commanding 18-1 victory; The 17-point victory was the largest in the program's history, surpassing the 14-point win over St. Mary's (Calif.) in 2024.

Following their win, the Bruins played one of the toughest teams in the country in Trevecca, the No. 8 team in Division II. After falling down, 0-4, the Bruins fought hard and never gave up. Over the next quarter and a half, the Bruins kept pace with the Trojans, with the score 3-7 with three points left in the third. After the third, Fox trailed 4-10 before losing, 7-20, a massive improvement over past results.

What's It Means
The Bruins now sit at 4-6 for the year thanks to a 1-1 showing in their first-ever home games.

What Happens Next
Fox will be right back in action on Saturday, March 15, as they host day two of the Pacific Northwest Open. The Bruins will face Muskingum at 11:00 am before meeting St. Mary's (Ind.) at 3:00 pm, complete with Senior Day festivities prior to the game.
