SPOKANE, Wash. -- The George Fox baseball team wrapped up their weekend away in Washington with a loss of 4-10 against Whitworth.
How It Happened
In the bottom of the first, Whitworth put the hammer down on George Fox, scoring a total of five runs and making their presence known. In the bottom of the second, the Pirates added two more runs to the game, making the score 7-0.
Mason Eastman had a double down the right field line in the top of the fourth inning to get a Fox comeback effort going, with
Evan Balingit following with a ground ball out to the right field line.
Carson Coulter rounded out the fourth inning with a home run to center field, bringing home Eastman to score. The two runs cut the deficit to 2-10.
George Fox waited until the top of the ninth inning to add more to their score. Balingit had a double to right center field allowing for Eastman to advance to third base. Coulter had a single to shortstop and had an RBI, with Eastman scoring. Balingit scored the last run making the final score of the game, 4-10.

Carson Coulter had a home run, two hits, and three RBIs.
Evan Balingit had a run and a hit.
