FULLERTON, Calif. -- The George Fox STUNT team, who earned the number one ranking in Division III earlier in the week, competed at the Royal Rumble against several other No. 1 teams. Fox earned valuable experience against some of the best teams in the country in a learning weekend.
How It Happened
Though the Bruins lost all four games they played, the value of the games extended beyond the scoreboard. The Bruins played Hope International, the No. 1 team in NAIA and a national power, twice, picking up their first-ever point against the school in the final game of the rumble.
The Bruins also lost to the No. 1 team in Division I play in Cal Baptist before earning a point against another power in No. 6 Vanguard. Overall, the games against tough opponents will not only help Fox's strength of schedule as they aim for Division III Nationals, but help the Bruins work on perfecting their craft.
What's It Means
The Bruins jump fall to 3-5 on the season.
What Happens Next
Fox will host the first-ever STUNT tournament in the Pacific Northwest in the Pacific Northwest Open, welcoming several Division III and NAIA teams to play at Wheeler Sports Center on March 14-15.
