FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Bruins complete the weekend sweep at Pacific as they go a perfect 14-0 on the weekend. 

How it Happened
Despite the perfect overall score, the Bruins dropped a match in doubles play, winning the point 2-1. Lars Schmassmann and Ikuho Ebisu kicked things off per usual, winning their match 6-3. Zach Moore and Keita Shoji matched their score, winning 6-3 to secure the doubles point. Luis Hernandez and Jackson Whittaker rounded out doubles play with a 6-2 loss in the No. 3 doubles spot, but the two match wins by the other doubles teams were enough to keep the Boxers off the board. 

The singles matches all carried a similar theme to each other, with Schmassmann, Moore, and Ebisu winning easily, and Shoji, Whittaker, and Hernandez battling it out for the final few points. 

Schmassmann took down Josh Dela Cruz 6-0, 6-1 to finish his weekend a perfect 4-0 to give the Bruins an early 2-0 lead in the match. Moore also played well, finishing 6-1, 6-0 and padding the lead to set the Bruins up for the match win. Ebisu finished the match off and secured the final necessary point after a 6-0, 6-2 win in the No. 3 singles spot. 

The other three matches were back and forth as the Bruins had to fight for the sweep. The Boxers played well, but couldn't quite secure any points this afternoon. Shoji played a tight first set, winning 7(10) - 6(4), before outpacing Aidan Rooney 6-2 in the second. Whittaker played a nearly identical match, winning 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles spot. Luis Hernandez saw back-and-forth action all afternoon, winning two close sets 7(10) - 6(2), 7(10) - 6(2) to complete the sweep.

The Bruins will be back at home against Linfield on Saturday, March 15th at 11:00 am.
