Five Bruins Receive All-NWC Recognition

5/7/2026 2:14:00 PM

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The 2026 Northwest Conference teams have officially been announced, with six Bruins earning All-Conference honors.

The Bruins finished the 2026 season in fourth place in the NWC, boasting major wins against in-conference rival and No. 3 ranked Linfield, handing them two of their six losses on the season, as well as splitting a series versus No. 4 Redlands and taking down No. 21 DePauw in The Spring Games tournament.

Corine Doran was one of three Bruins to earn All-NWC Second Team honors. The North Idaho College transfer made a real impact in her first season at Fox, claiming the No. 1 all-time spot in batting average (.386) in program history while recording 51 hits in 132 at-bats. Doran had five home runs this season that propelled the Bruins over the competition, including a grand slam against Willamette that helped the Bruins come back from a 2–0 deficit to win the game.

Tinley Taylor also made her All-Conference debut on the Second Team this season. Taylor became a thorn in pitchers' sides, picking up 15 doubles (tied for the fifth-most in a season in program history) along with a personal-best 50 hits and 20 runs. She split time between the outfield and first base, recording 184 putouts, which was the best on the team.

Makayla Noone earned Second Team honors for the second straight year. Breaking her own record has become common for Noone, who stole a blistering 30 bases this season, surpassing her previous record of 24 set last year. In 35 games, she posted a strong .345 batting average, totaling 40 hits, 22 runs, and 13 RBIs.

One of two players on the Third Team was Emily Benavidez. The infielder earned her first All-Conference selection after registering career highs across the board. Benavidez started 30 of 35 games this season, recording 23 runs, three home runs, and 14 RBIs while drawing 17 walks. She posted a .427 slugging percentage along with 33 putouts and 40 assists, the third-most assists for the Bruins this season.

Nicole Ledendecker appeared on the Third Team for her performance on the mound, serving as the lone Bruin pitcher to earn All-NWC honors. After being named All-NWC Honorable Mention in 2025, Ledendecker continued her strong pitching by securing 10 wins while starting 16 games and appearing in 21. She finished the year with a 3.63 ERA, six complete games, and a team-high 54 strikeouts.

Although the Bruins' season ended in the NWC Tournament, the team has several pieces to build on for next year. They will return to action next spring for the 2027 season.
