GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) officially announced their 2025-26 Academic All-District Teams for men's and women's at-large teams, with eight Bruins being named to the list.

Blake Johnston (men's golf), Ian Powers (men's golf), Katelyn Lam (women's golf), Abby Matelski (women's golf), Samara D'Silva (women's golf), Claire Abraham (lacrosse), Lana Davis (lacrosse), and Sasha Thayer (lacrosse) were all named to the list, attaining a maximum of six women.

Lam, Matelski, and D'Silva earned All-NWC honors this year and helped the Bruins finish 18th at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, marking Fox's 16th straight NCAA appearance. 

Abraham, Davis, and Thayer were also named to All-NWC teams this season after leading GFU lacrosse to its 10th undefeated conference season as the program extended its conference winning streak to 91 games. 

The requirements for this nomination and selection process include being a sophomore and maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5. For men's and women's golf, nominees must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament, while for lacrosse, they must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

GFU posted the third-most at-large selections among Northwest Conference members, trailing Pacific Lutheran with 11 and Lewis & Clark with nine. In total, 45 NWC student-athletes were named to the list.

In 2024-25, less than five percent of student-athletes earned this prestigious honor across all sports and divisions.
