Colby Watilo began his coaching career as a member of the Bruins' coaching staff in the fall of 2019 after finishing his career as a catcher at Fox in the spring of that year. His primary responsibilities included serving as recruiting coordinator and head JV coach in his second year with the program as a coach in 2020-21.

Watilo, a career .990 fielder as a catcher with four years of experience in the Bruins' battery, served as an assistant coach to the varsity squad and as head JV coach for the Bruins from 2019 until January of 2022.

As a student, Watilo graduated magna cum laude in the spring of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and helped his team earn an ABCA Scholar-Team honor in 2018-19.
