Josh Rapacz

Josh Rapacz joined the Bruin baseball coaching staff in 2024. A two-time first team all-state catcher at Richland High School in southeast Washington, he was a key member of two state championship teams.

Rapacz went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in history and marketing. He was a four-year letterman with the Bruins, earning all-Northwest Conference honors as a catcher three times. In 2013, he was honored as Northwest Conference Player of the Year and first team Division III All-American.

After graduating from George Fox, Rapacz pursued his lifelong dream of playing professional baseball. Signing a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Rays organization, he was assigned to the minor leagues in Florida. Over four years, he worked his way up to Class AA. His playing career reached an end in 2017 following a second knee surgery.
