Braeden Meyer joined coach Spencer Crace’s staff as linebacker coach prior to the 2025 season.
Meyer came to Newberg from Pacific University in Forest Grove, where he coached for the team for three seasons. Meyer spent one season as the running backs coach before spending two years as the special teams coordinator and linebackers coach for Lukkes Gilgan’s defense. While at Pacific, Meyer coached one Second Team All-NWC linebacker Hunter Brown, First Team All-NWC returner Tyler Vargas, and 2024 NWC Special Teams Player of the Year Zion Booker.
A team captain Middle Linebacker at Adams State University from 2017-2021, Meyer totaled 76 tackles and 3 sacks in his 2021 seasons before receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Recreation Management in 2020 from Adams State and Master's Degree in Sports Administration from in 2022.
A native of Moanalua, Hawai’i who has Hawaiian and Samoan heritage, Meyer is married to his wife, Leilani. The couple attends Inspire Church and has one son, Tamali’i.
