Quinn Smith joined the GFU football staff as Defensive Line coach in the spring of 2025.
Smith previously coached at Syracuse University, coaching for the Orange while earning his MBA in Business Administration. Prior to his time on the East Coast, Smith played 17 games for the Oregon State Beavers from 2016-18, starting one game. Before Corvallis, he Played tight end and long snapper at Lafayette College, playing in 10 games making 6 catches for 78 yards in 2015. Smith was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2014 and ’15.
A San Diego native, Smith played football at La Costa Canyon High School, where he was on leadership committees for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life clubs. His community service projects included as a four-year summer intern at C3 Church in San Diego and an Adopt-a-Block program with Dream Center Los Angeles.
