Ryan Borde was named the George Fox Football Director of Operations in March of 2025.
Borde joins the program after serving as the head softball coach at Crown College in Minnesota during the 2024 season. Prior to that, he was a high school softball coach in the state of Oregon for seven seasons, amassing a 126-29 record and five league titles. Additionally, he was an assistant football coach at Stayton High School for five years.Â
A native Oregonian, Borde holds a Master’s of Education in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington. He spent seven years working as a sports information director, at both Washington and Portland State University, and got his start in college athletics as an assistant football coach at Willamette University. At Willamette, Borde coached the linebackers and long snappers, and assisted with recruiting, during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.Â
Borde played both football and baseball at Pacific Lutheran University, where he helped the Lutes football team to the 2000 and 2001 national playoffs as a linebacker. He has one son, Ty, who is a member of the George Fox Football team.Â
