Alex Brown joined the George Fox women's basketball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023, coming to the university after serving as the head coach of the Mt. Hood Community College women's basketball program for two seasons.
Brown began his coaching career as a volunteer staff member for the University of Portland Women's basketball team in the 2016-2017 season. He later became the Director of Operations for the Pilots in 2017-2018. From 2018 to 2020, Brown served as an assistant coach for the Warner Pacific women's basketball team before taking on the head coaching role at Mount Hood CC.
Before transitioning to coaching, Brown played basketball throughout high school and served as a practice player for the Gonzaga University women's basketball team during his time at the university. Off the court, Brown resides in Portland with his wife, Amber, and two sons. He has a passion for sports and enjoys both playing and watching various athletic competitions.In his free time, Brown loves playing and watching all sports, as well as traveling with his family.Â
