Lauren Sende served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program from 2021-23. Sende joined the Bruins after two seasons as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at King's High School in Edmonds Wash. A graduate of the University of Washington's Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership Program, Sende played four seasons at NAIA Westmont College in Montecito, California. Sende had great success as a player herself and appeared in 32 games for the Warriors' national championship team in 2012-13 as a freshman, helping her team make the NAIA postseason in all four years of her playing career.

A native of El Dorado Hills, California, Sende starred at Oak Ridge High School 2009-12.
