Liv Hanbey joined the Bruins' volleyball staff in the fall of 2021 as an assistant after a four-year career for the Bruins playing at the pins. As a player, Hanbey tallied a career-best 21 kills in a single game during her senior season and averaged 2.24 kills per set on her way to 466 career kills from 2017-2020.
Hanbey also serves as the associate recruiting coordinator, and summer camp director for the Bruins.
Hanbey married Logan Hanbey, a former Bruin wide receiver, in the summer of 2021 after graduating with her degree in communications. She also works with Fellowship of Christian Athletes in addition to her work with Bruin athletics. The two have one daughter, and live in Newberg, Ore.
