Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -
Connecting on seven shots in a row and eight of ten at one stretch,
the Augsburg College Auggies broke open a tight game midway through
the first half and went on to a 91-63 win over the George Fox
University Bruins in a non-conference men's basketball game Monday
afternoon here at Si Melby Hall.
The Bruins kept the game close in the early going, never taking
the lead but forging four ties. Stephen

stretched the margin to 15 points at 40-25 with 2:19 remaining on a
fast break layup by David Olson. A basket by Dan Lingenfelder
and a three by Evan Atwater enabled the Bruins to climb within

of their last 16 shots to finish with a .548 mark (17-31) in the

(11-28). Olson had nine first-half points for Augsburg to
lead all scorers, while Wiseley and Alex Stockner led George Fox

The Auggies remained comfortably ahead throughout the second
half as they remained hot from the field, hitting seven of their
first 11 shots, while the Bruins continued to have trouble finding
the net, making only two of their first nine tries. Matthew
Quammen's free throws with 3:02 left gave Augsburg its largest lead
of 34 points at 88-54.

overall percentage (35-62). George Fox dipped to .370 (10-27)
