Box Score 2 REDLANDS, Calif. --- George Fox University's softball team finished its six game three day road trip against the University of Redlands, Sunday afternoon.
The Bruins split the double-header with the Bulldogs taking the first game, 4-2, but falling in the second, 3-1.
Game 1
Kayla Anderson set the tone early for the Bruins hitting her second home run of the season to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead in the third. The Bruins added one more in the fourth and more in the fifth to seal the victory over the Bulldogs.
Anderson went 3-4 at the plate and has increased her batting average to .455 on the year. Abbie Bergerson pitched a complete game giving up just four hits and two runs to earn her second win of the season.
Game 2
George Fox opened game two with an early lead after Amanda Woods singled through the right hand side scoring Anderson. The Bulldogs responded in the third scoring off of a Bruin error. They scored two more in the fifth to keep the Bruins from sweeping the double-header.
George Fox stands at 4-2 on the season and will head back home to start its conference schedule against Pacific Lutheran on February 28 at 12/2:00 p.m.
