Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

TUCSON, Ariz. --- After a day one split on Thursday, the George Fox softball team responded with a sweep on day two, taking down Wisconsin – La Crosse, 6-0, and Wisconsin – Eau Claire, 6-1.

Recap:
Game 1
It didn't take the Bruins long to get on the board, as the squad bagged their first run in the top of the second. Alex Parker led off for the Bruins in the top half of the inning with a single through the left side. Rachel LaRont came in to pinch run for Parker, and Kat Hylton drove a ball up the middle to advance LaRont to second. With two out and runners on first and second, Rebecca Pridmore stepped up to the plate and delivered a single through the left side to push LaRont home.

The Bruins caught fire in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs off four hits. Ashley Bunce hit a nice shot up the middle and Hylton followed suit with a single of her own. Annie Veatch reached on an error by the shortstop loading the bases, and Pridmore singled up the middle adding another run to the Bruins total, 2-0. With two outs and bases loaded, Kayla Anderson hit a deep grand slam to clear the bases and put the Bruins up, 6-0.

The Bruins blanked Wis.-La Crosse for the rest of the game, as starter Abbie Bergerson was dialed in and pitched another complete game.

Game 2
Momentum continued for the Bruins in game two, as they tallied a run in the first, three in the third and one in the fourth and fifth.

The bottom of the third was the most noteworthy, as Anderson started the inning with a double to centerfield. Hylton singled advancing Woods, and Veatch singled scoring Parker to give the Bruins a 4-0 advantage.
