NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox men's basketball hosted its home opener in a hard-fought matchup with Redlands on Tuesday, Nov. 23. The Bulldogs' first half made the difference in an 88-75 loss for Fox.
How It Happened
After a slow start, both teams roared to life as the first half began to wind down. While the score remained in the low double digits as both teams heated up, the scoring exploded to the tune of a 53-43 Redlands lead at half. This theme continued into the second half, as Redlands managed to hold the lead to claim victory with a score of 88-75. Â
From the statistical standpoint, Redlands edged out Fox in most categories on the box score. The Bruins did manage more fast-break points and were neck and neck in points off of turnovers.Â
Redlands led for most of the way and never surrendered the lead, as the Bruins could only tie their guests on two occasions. Fox put together some good scoring runs to draw close, but the Bulldogs answered each time.
