NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox women's tennis team closed out action at the ITA Regional Championships on Monday after gaining solid experience over the weekend.

How It Happened

Ellie Mangan was the only Bruin to compete on day four of the tournament. Mangan went 1-1 in main draw singles before moving to the first-round winners consolation bracket. After winning by default and resting through a bye, Mangan faced Lewis & Clark's Macarana Vives. The sophomore's ITA run was shortened with a 6-3, 6-3 loss to the local opponent.

Coach's Thoughts

"Overall, it was a great opportunity for our players to see what it will take for us to compete with the best in the league," said head coach Rick Cruz. "We had some great individual performances throughout the tournament, but we will need everyone to get better to reach our goals. I'm excited to see how this team develops as we head into the spring schedule."
