Newberg, Ore.-- George Fox jumped out early against the Willamette Bearcats, rebounding from a two-game losing streak to pick up their first sweep of the year over Willamette 

How It Happened
The Bruins pounced on the Bearcats in the first set, going up 11-2 and never looking back, winning 25-10. The Bruins had a block party in the first set, with five total in the frame, helping the Bruins hold the Bearcats a low-scoring set. Fox had eight kills as well as three service aces in the set.

The second set was nearly lopsided, with the Bruins riding a .333 hit percentage to a 25-18 set win. Fox had an incredible 14 kills in the second, leading to a lead of ten at one point during the set. 

The third and final set was the most competitive of the day, but the Bruins closed it out to win 25-19. With the score at 23-19, the Bearcats had a fury of attack attempts, but the Bruin back row, led by libero Piper Harrop, used impressive diving digs to win the Bruins the game.

Top Performers
Addison Robertson led the way with 10 kills in the game, paired with Kennedy Kibby's 20 assists. Bailey LeBreton had a hitting percentage of .667 and 7 blocks, while Kaitlyn Johnson and Piper Harrop had 10 and nine digs, respectively.

The Bruins climb back over .500, improving to 8-7 (5-3 NWC), while the Bearcats fall to 6-8 (5-3 NWC). With the win, the Bruins snap a two-game losing streak.
