COLORADO SPRING – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2022-23 Spring Team Scholar All-America honorees, with both Bruin swimming programs honored for their academic prowess.

The two squads were part of the 714 teams named to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2023 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2023 team grade point averages and represent 17,445 student-athletes. 

The men's roster tallied a GPA of 3.31 — nearly three points higher than their mark in 2022 — while the women's roster improved on their GPA by one point to finish with a 3.51. In total, seven of the nine Northwest Conference schools were named to the scholar team.

To be recognized, the program must be coached by an active CSCAA member and tally a collective 3.00 GPA or better for each team. All members who compete must be included in the term GPA calculation.

This marks the third time in program history and second consecutive season that both the men and women's teams were honored for their academics in the same competition year.
