NEWBERG, Ore. -- Headed into Sunday of their 1-1 series against the Pacific Boxers, the George Fox baseball team dropped the game, recording just two hits in a 14-1 affair after a quick Pacific start.
How It Happened
After a quick first inning, the Boxers opened up the floodgates over the next two innings, scoring eight runs on seven hits. Fox used three pitchers over the course of the second and third innings, but a home run and three hit by pitches scattered over the third dealt the damage.
The Bruins went hitless over the first five innings as Pacific increased their lead to nine before
Carson Coulter got the team going with a home run down the left field line. That homer would be the lone run scored by the team, as the Boxers scored another five runs in the fifth inning while the Bruins managed just one additional hit in the 14-1 loss, a single from
Jeremy Sangalang.Â
Top Performances
