FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The George Fox track and field team returned to Oregon after a week in California, with several athletes putting together solid performances at the Pacific Open.

Top Performers
Jenna Huntsman set the tone early with a PR time of 1:05.18 in the Women's 400m hurdles, good for second place in the event. Huntsman's time currently leads the Northwest Conference.

Meanwhile,
Ellie Corwin had a stellar outing with a winning throw of 131-03 in the women's javelin, a season-best mark that puts her in sixth in the nation. Andrea Shirley was right behind her teammates, finishing second with a mark of 109-06.
Cole Nicholas rounded out the podium finishers in the javelin with a third-place throw of 178-03 in the men's competition.

In the men's pole vault,
Luke Nelson continued his torrid start to the year with a vault of 14-06.00, good for a tie for first place with Umpqua's Troy Hockett.
Shelby Larson followed suit in the women's vault, placing second with a mark of 10-07.50.

The Bruins also had podium finishers in the shot put, with
Evan Roberts winning the women's event while
Austin Imsland placed second. Roberts won by six inches with her mark of 36-08.25, while Imsland totaled a mark of 45-04.25

Roberts continued her success with a second place finish in the hammer throw, finishing her day with a mark of 136-09.
