MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The George Fox track and field team continued their strong run of form at the Western Oregon Open, putting together several extremely impressive individual performances in both track and field events.Â
Top Performances - Day One
Ellie Rising led the team with the first number one spot for the day in the Women's 1500m with a stunning time of 4:28.68.Â
Meanwhile,
Taylor Bramel made a top three spot in the Men's 3000 Steeple—his time being a PR of 9:58.14.
Next, in the Women's 5000m, sophomore
Chloe Cook had a time of 18:15.75—-her season's best.Â
Finally,
Ellie Corwin achieved a mark of 120-07 in the Women's Javelin Throw.
Top Performances - Day Two
Aiden Arthur ran the second fastest 800 time in George Fox history with a blistering PR of 1:50.97, taking home second place and setting the fourth fastest D-III mark of the season.
Austin Imsland also set a PR in the men's shot put, finishing in seventh place with the seventh best school mark of all time at 48-00.75.
James King picked up Fox's first win of the day in the men's high jump with his mark of 2.06m, likely securing him a national qualifier spot.
Kyesha Farmer secured another podium in the women's triple jump, her best jump of 35-07.25 good enough for second place.
What Comes Next
The Bruins will now set their sights on the Northwest Conference Multis, which they are set to host at Stoffer Family Stadium on April 14 and 15. The first event is scheduled for 11:00 am.
