LA CROSSE, Wisc. -- After months of hard work and preparation, six of George Fox's finest will be making their way to Wisconsin for the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships.
For the NCAAs, the top 16 relay teams qualify and top 22 individual competitors in the nation qualify for the final meet. Several Bruins have put their names near the top of the Division III leaderboards all season, with records broken throughout the season.
Three men and three women qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2026, the second-most in the NWC. Of those six athletes, four will be competing in multis events.
For the men,
Caleb Smith (decathlon),
Blake Smith (decathlon), and
Carson Tapia (200m) will be competing. Caleb is seeded third in the decathlon, while Blake is 20th. Tapia is seeded 12th in the 200m.
On the women's side,
Janice Hellesto (seventh seed in long jump),
Jenna Huntsman (18th in heptathlon), and
Makaylah Johnson (21st in heptathlon) will represent the Bruins. In the competitions, athletes who finished first through eight will be named First Team All-Americans, while Second Team All-Americans will be from ninth to 16th.
Action for GFU will begin at 8:00 am Pacific on Thursday with the decathlon. See the table below for all competition times over the weekend - note that all times listed are Central Time.
