MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The George Fox men's golf team placed fourth overall in the Northwest Conference Championship with a score of 605 (+29) after day two of tournament play.
Top Performers
Truman Fletcher had an incredible weekend in the NWC tournament, tying for first place overall with a score of 142 (-2). Fletcher had four birdies in the second round and a total of eleven pars. Fletcher ultimately lost the playoff to Linfield's Douglas Bailey on the second, but still ended the year on a high note.
Brenden Borck completed the second round of play coming in sixth place with a score of 147 (+3). Borck had three birdies and ten pars overall at the end of the round.
Ian Powers placed in 30th overall and had a score of 157 (+13) at the end of day two of play. He had two birdies and ten pars in the second round of the tournament.
Blake Johnston had a score of 165 (+21) at the end of day two and placed 42nd overall. Johnston had ten pars in all for the day.
Cole Rivers came in 44th place and had a score of 16 (+22). He had a birdie and six pars at the end of the day.
What It Means
As a team, the Bruins finished in fourth place overall with a two-day score of 605 (+29). Fox was 24 strokes behind event winner Linfield, while finishing sandwiched between Whitman and Pacific Lutheran.
What Comes Next
The George Fox men's team is finished for the season and will be back and better than ever next Fall.
