HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference announced their men's golf student-athlete of the week winner for the week of October 21, with GFU's own
Eli Harrell winning the honor for the first time in his career.
Harrell was the top-finishing NWC competitor at The Clash in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., finishing in a tie for fourth place. The junior started his tournament with a 75 (+3), but came alive on day two. Harrell had four birdies on the front nine and three on the back to end his day with a 69 (-3), the 16th-best round in program history, and end his tournament with an overall score of 144 (E).
The first men's golfer to win a weekly conference honor since
Truman Fletcher in the spring of 2024, Harrell and the Bruins will have concluded their fall schedule and will be back in action in the spring.
