CORVALLIS, Ore. -- One week after wrapping up their eighth consecutive NWC championship sweep, several athletes from the George Fox track and field team traveled south for the Oregon State High Performance meet.

Top Performances
Fresh off of a conference championship of her own, Ellie Rising raced to a season-best time in the 1500m, clocking in with a time of 4:27.69 to finish seventh overall at the Division I meet. Rising's time is currently good for seventh in the nation.

Rising wasn't done yet, though — the senior blazed to a PR time of 2:08.60 in the 800m, a school record time that also moved her to number seven in the country.

Cade Kooch, meanwhile excelled in the 5000m, finishing seventh overall with his PR time of 14:59.46. Grace Tully, Shelby Larson, and Angela Hawkins all finished in the top 10 in the pol vault, with Tully placing second with her vault of 11-11.25.

Larry Trefry rounded out the list of Bruins to finish in the top 10, placing 10th on the nose with a 50.62 time in the 400m, good for 10th overall.

What Comes Next
The Bruins will be back in Corvallis for the OSU Final Qualifier on Friday, May 9, as several Bruins try to qualify for nationals.
