LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced their Division III All-American roster for 2025, with
Sharon Tomei earning her first All-American nod.
Fifty-five student athletes from 39 different schools have been voted to one of three 2025 NFCA Division III All-America teams, with Tomei landing a spot on the third team. Tomei is the fifth Fox athlete to be named NFCA All-American, and the first since fellow teammate
Sydney Sandifer in 2023.
The accolades keep piling up for Tomei after a stellar season at the plate. The senior broke a total of 10 George Fox school records this season, while also leading the nation with 22 home runs and a 1.076 slugging percentage. She was named to the All-Northwest Conference first team, the All-West Region first team, and has now added All-American honors to her name as well.
Those 10 records include a single-season batting average of .482, and a whopping 64 hits, 142 total bases, 22 home runs, 1.076 slugging percentage, and an on-base percentage of .548. She had one of the best individual seasons in Fox history, and is much deserving of an All-American title.
The Bruins concluded their season in the NWC Championships, falling to No. 2-seeded Lewis and Clark.
