SEATTLE -- Several George Fox track and field athletes competed in a two-day excursion at University of Washington, handing in stellar performances.
Top Performances
The Bruins started the two-day meet on Friday morning with the Men's 3000m, where
Caden Hildenbrand turned in a strong performance to place 74th overall, with a beautiful time of 8:48.43.Â
Moments later, Kellin Ruiz took the track in the same event, crossing the line in 87th with a time of 8:58.95.
Action resumed Saturday as
Emily Foote came in 33rd, with a time of 9:55.46 for the Women's 3000m.Â
While those three athletes were competing at the UW Preview, several other men were close by for the "Mile City" meet.
Andrew Dewar was the top finishing runner in the mile, finishing 93rd with a time of 4:16.13.
Isaac Montanes (162nd, 4:22.39), Ruiz (186th, 4:24.57), and
Benjamin Bourne (221st, 4:28.15) were the next finishers.Â
What Comes Next
The Bruins will come back to Newberg for the first home indoor meet of the season on Saturday, February 7. The day is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
