2/14/2026 6:16:00 PM

SEATTLE -- Several George Fox track and field athletes headed north to Seattle for the third time in 2026, this time competing in the UW Husky Classic. As has been the case in the indoor season, several athletes created new school records and hit strong PRs for the season.

Top Performances
For the field events on Friday, Makaylah Johnson had a mark of 1.60m in the Women's High Jump, claiming the No. 7 spot of all time, while Madison Wu wasn't far behind with a jump of 1.55m.

Then, Blake Smith came in first place with a time of 8.32 in the Men's 60m Hurdles, breaking a school record of 8.34 that was set by Tayler Phillips in 2022. Caleb Smith followed after him crossing the finish line at a PR of 8.69, while Micah Mumford had a solid time of 8.75.

Then, in the Women's 3000m, Emily Foote had a jaw-dropping PR of 9:41.29, setting a new school record and moving into number nine in the nation. Foote broke her personal record by a staggering 14 seconds, downing her own personal mark she had set earlier in the year.

Finally, on Saturday, Foote also ran in the Women's 1 Mile Run, holding a 4:59.09 time finishing off the weekend on a high note.

What Comes Next
The Bruins will be coming back to their hometown to host and compete in their second indoor meet, facing various different schools on Saturday, February 21.
