Eight Bruins Bring Home Multiple All-NWC Honors

2/24/2026 1:14:00 PM

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The 2026 All-Northwest Conference Swim rosters and major awards have been announced by the conference office following the conclusion of the NWC Championship on February 15, with eight Bruins being named to All-NWC teams.

Gabbie Patti blazed through the lanes as the lone NWC First-Team selection, setting conference records in two events and personal bests in all three individual events: the 50 freestyle (23.33), 100 backstroke (54.74), and 200 backstroke (2:01.83).

The Bruins also saw five different student-athletes achieve All-NWC Second-Team selections for their combined second place relay finishes, including Patti, Ellie Hoover, Riley Parker, and Donna Talmadge in the 200 medley relay (1:48.64) and 400 medley relay (3:58.84). Heidi Gray joined Parker, Patti, and Talmadge in receiving All-NWC Second-Team honors for their performance in the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.99).

Along with being First- and Second-Team selections, Patti secured Women's Co-Rookie of the Meet and Women's Co-Swimmer of the Meet honors based on her combined times over the weekend.

Other All-NWC Second-Team performances included Hoover in the 200 butterfly (2:24.22), Parker in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.84), Zoey Stapelman in the 100 backstroke (1:03.63), and Jesse Urback in the 1650 freestyle (18:34.24).

Cameron Alexander landed the only All-Conference placement for the men with his performances in the 50 freestyle (21.33) finishing sixth, 100 butterfly (52.14) finishing eighth, and 200 butterfly (2:01.36) finishing eighth, all good for All-NWC Second-Team honors.
The Bruins were led by the stellar leadership of NWC Women's Coach of the Year Natalie Turner, who earned the honor based on votes from other Northwest Conference coaches.

"To see our swimmers recognized at the conference level following the Northwest Conference Championship meet is incredibly rewarding," said Turner. "That meet represents months of preparation, and our athletes stepped up when it mattered most. It is a testament to the way our team prepared and competed at the end of the season."

"The Northwest Conference is deep and competitive and these honors reflect the work, resilience, and belief this group carried into championships. I'm proud of how they competed, how they supported one another, and I'm excited about where our program is at."

Six of the All-NWC athletes will be back in 2026-27 to defend their title, as the Bruins look to continue the strides they made in the 2025-26 season.
