HILLSBORO, Ore. – The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of February 24 through March 2, with Brennan Bates earning Baseball Player of the Week honors.

Bates had an impressive series against Linfield, recording three home runs in just two games played. The sophomore hit two in a Saturday start before adding a solo shot in the Bruins' 6-3 Sunday win. In total, Bates went 5-for-8 at the plate with three home runs and four RBI, posting a 1.750 slugging percentage.

Bates and the baseball team will head to Walla Walla, Wash., to take on the Whitman Blues on Saturday, March 7, with first pitch set for 11:00 a.m. in their fourth conference game of the season.
