MONMOUTH, Ore. -- The George Fox Track and Field team wrapped up day two of the John Knight Twilight, three Bruins running personal bests and two ranking in the top 100 for D3.
Top Performers
Makai Peak was the first Bruin on the podium for the day in the 5000-meter, coming in not only in first place, but also with a personal best time of 15:46.60. Juniors dominated the 5000-meter,
Chloe Cook tracking in first, a personal best of 17:32.95, a full 15 seconds ahead of second place.
Hope Bridge also recorded a personal best, coming in third with 17:53.91. For the men's race alongside Peak,
Kellen Ruiz took second place, 14:57.96.
The men's 4x100 relay, consisting of
Ezra Clark,
Carson Tapia, Rafeal Rodriguez, and
Noah Holmberg, finished second, with 42.11, a season's best — and just 0.1 seconds behind the 10th-best time in program history.
Tapia made the podium in another event, third in the 100-meter, 10.77, as well as a win in the 200m on Friday with a 21.66.
The 800-meter was up next, and freshman Issac Montanes rolled in third, 1:54.82; a season's best.
Sophomore
Candice Mugo-Wainaina was the one to show up in throws, getting second in shot put, with a 42-01.50.

Select Bruins will compete at home on Monday, April 13th, for the Northwest Conference Multis.
