GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) officially announced their 2025-26 Academic All-District Teams for the 2026 baseball season, with five Bruins making the team, marking the program's highest number of recipients in the past decade.
Brennan Bates (Business Management),
Gabe DeBenedetto (Business Administration),
Andrew Miller (History),
Garrett Strube (Nursing), and
BJ Tokushima (Kinesiology) were all named to the team. To earn recognition, student-athletes must be of sophomore standing, maintain a GPA of at least 3.50, and either participate in 90% of their team's games, start at least 66% of their team's games, pitch at least 35 innings, or make at least 17 appearances.
The five Bruins were joined by 30 other honorees from the Northwest Conference, an increase of nine selections from last season. George Fox joined five other conference members with the maximum of five student-athletes named to the team. For Strube, it was his second consecutive Academic All-District honor, while the other four Bruins earned the recognition for the first time.
In 2024-25, fewer than five percent of student-athletes earned this prestigious honor across all sports and divisions.
First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 23, 2026.
