HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference office announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of September 8 through September 14, with Jacob Erickson and Zac LeVin being named to the weekly honor roll.

In his first season with the Bruins, LeVin has already etched a career milestone by scoring three back-to-back-to-back goals, all within 12 minutes of gameplay in the second half of an exhilarating game against Lewis & Clark that brought the Bruins their first win of the season in a 4-3 victory on Sunday. The last time a Bruin men's soccer player recorded a hat trick in a regular-season game was in 2012. LeVin also added an assist in Friday's game against Willamette, combining for a total of 138 minutes across both matches while starting in both. This marked LeVin's first NWC Offensive Player of the Week honor of his career.

Jacob Erickson continued his dominant start to the season, recording an additional 2.5 sacks in a 28-20 Oregon Cup Championship victory over Lewis & Clark. The fifth-year senior was second on the team with eight tackles, including 3.0 TFLs for 21 yards, and had one forced fumble to boot. Erickson is currently second in the nation in total sacks with 4.5, and tied for the nation's lead with 7.0 TFLs. This is the second week in a row Erickson has been named as the NWC Football Defensive Player of the Week.

George Fox football will be on the road until homecoming, heading down to California for their next game versus Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, set for Saturday, September 19, starting at noon. Meanwhile, the men's soccer program will play their next two games in Tacoma, Washington, starting with a match against the Puget Sound Loggers on Saturday, September 19, with kickoff set for noon.
