the University of Portland with a throw of 195-8 / 59.63m in the

Bruin participants with a distance of 18-3.75 / 5.58m, only 3/4ths
of an inch short of the NCAA provisional standard of 18-4.5 /
5.60m. Angie Miller was right behind her with a mark of
18-1.75 / 5.53m, while Beth Stam was third at 17-5.25 / 5.31m and

4-10.25 / 1.48m.
