Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- The women's lacrosse team ended its 2015 season in high scoring fashion, as the Bruins beat the 'Cats of Linfield College, 17-2.
Before the game started, the Bruins honored their first ever senior class of Jessica Adrian, Kaylee Kolin and Tayler Main.
The score opened up early, as Miranda Edwords scored a hat-trick in the first three minutes. Alexa Nakashimada added to the frenzy, scoring a pair of goals to give the Bruins a 5-0 edge. The weather then played a factor as time was called to stop as hail started to come down from the sky. After 10 minutes of stoppage time, play finally resumed as the sun made an appearance.
The Bruins continued their scoring efforts by netting eight more goals and opening up a 13-0 before the 'Cats scored off a free position attempt to get on the board just before the half.
The second half was pretty tame, as the Bruins added four more goals, while the 'Cats matched their first half performance with one.
Nakashimada and Edwords were the goal leaders on the day recording four apiece. Senior Kaylee Kolin got in on the action, scoring her first collegiate goal with nine minutes left in the second half.
The Bruins (11-5) end their season with a new program best 11 wins. Kolin will leave George Fox with every individual record in the net.
