NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox women's tennis team continued their hot streak taking down Puget Sound with a booming score of 9-0.
Recap:
The Bruins made quick work of doubles play taking down all three matches with ease. Sarah Tuemmler and Taylor Barnes won at No. 1, 8-1, and Catrina Kwong and Ali Diehl mirrored their teammates at No. 3 with an 8-1 victory. Kristen Mock and Andrea Motley also played well with an 8-2 win at the No. 2 spot.
With momentum on their side, the Bruins won all six matches in straight sets over the Loggers. Tuemmler continued her excellent junior season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1, while Diehl, Motley and Pearson all won 6-1, 6-0 in their single matches.
What It Means:
With today's win, the Bruins improve to 11-8 on the season and 6-4 in the Northwest Conference.
What Comes Next:
George Fox will close out the regular season at home next weekend when they host Pacific on April 16 and Linfield on April 17.
