MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The George Fox women's tennis team ran into a tough Linfield Wildcat squad, Wednesday night, as the 'Cats edged the Bruins, 9-0.

Sarah Tuemmler and Andrea Motley had a battle at No. 1 doubles with Elsa Harris and Ella Riddle. The match was back and forth, and the Bruins hung tough with competitive play, but the 'Cats came away with an 8-6 win. The 'Cats used their 3-0 lead after doubles and kept the momentum going into singles. Tuemmler faced No. 21-ranked Ella Riddle at the No. 1 spot, falling with a 6-4, 6-2 score. Catrina Kwong also had a close match at No. 3 singles, but fell to Marisa Doveri, 6-3, 6-4.

The Bruins will face Colorado College Monday, March 20, at home with doubles set to start at 3p.m.
