WALLA WALLA, Wash. --- The George Fox women's tennis team made a quick trip up to Washington Saturday, as the Bruins took on the Blues of Whitman College in a Northwest Conference match. The Blues came away with a 7-2 win.

Recap:
It was a tough start for the Bruins, as the top team in the conference swept all three double matches. No. 2 and No. 3 doubles were competitive, though, as the Bruins narrowly lost both matches, 8-4.

Sarah Tuemmler helped the Bruins get back on track at No. 1 singles with a win over Mary Hill, 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (11-9). Tuemmler wasn't the only Bruin to secure a win, as Lydia Pia was resilient at No. 6 singles. Pia won both sets by a score of 6-3 to give the Bruins their second point of the match.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will head back home Sunday, March 5, as they host the Loggers of Puget Sound at Tualatin Hills Tennis Center at 1p.m.
