SALEM, Ore. --- The George Fox women's tennis team won its fourth straight match Saturday, as the Bruins took down the Bearcats of Willamette, 8-1.

Recap:
The Bruins kicked off the match in a big way, taking all three points in doubles. Sarah Tuemmler and Andrea Motley won at No. 1 doubles with a score of 8-1. Catrina Kwong and Kristen Mock teamed up at No. 2 doubles with a score of 8-0, and Taylor Barnes and Ellen Pearson also posted a clean sheet with an 8-0 score at No. 3 doubles.

Motley was the first to finish in singles, as the junior won at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Barnes gave the Bruins their fifth point at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2, which clinched the match. Tuemmler was stellar at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 score. Willamette grabbed its lone point at the No. 4 spot, but Lydia Pia and Emily Brink won in straight sets to give the Bruins the 8-1 win.

What It Means:
The Bruins improve to 10-7 on the season and 6-3 in the Northwest Conference. The Bruins are currently fourth in the NWC standings. The win also marks head coach Rick Cruz's 100th win in his coaching career.

The Bruins will stay on the road with their next match against Pacific (Ore.) Sunday, April 9, at 11a.m.
