MCMINNVILLE, Ore.-- The Bruins' men's basketball team suffered a road-game loss against Linfield as the Wildcats defeated them 79-91.
How it Happened
Over the course of the first half, the Wildcats gradually pulled ahead of the Bruins, keeping them at arm's length with a 10-point deficit. The half ended in favor of the Wildcats, 38-46, after edging George Fox in field goals and foul shots.
A Ryan Lacey three-pointer made it a five-point game to start the second half, but the Wildcats continued to fend off the Bruins' attempts at a comeback. Linfield maintained a gap throughout the early second half that grew consistently, yet not entirely out of reach.
However, the Wildcats pulled further ahead in the closing minutes and finally won the game 79-91.
Top Performers
James Moore made six field goals, including four triples, and Lacey added 16 points while going 4-for-4 on his free throw attempts. Brendan Ritschard pulled down eight rebounds and dished four assists.
What It Means
The Bruins go to 2-4 in the conference, and 2-9 overall, having yet to win an away game. The Wildcats go to 4-1 in the conference, and 6-1 overall.

The Bruins return home to face the Wildcats again on Saturday, April 10, with an 8:00 pm tipoff.
