SAN ANTONIO -- The George Fox men's golf team opened up their spring season playing 36 holes at TPC San Antonio Canyons Course on Monday. After day one of the tournament, the Bruins sit in ninth place, with
Brenden Borck leading the way individually in 17th place. On day two, many Bruins withdrew as the team finished in ninth.
How It Happened
Borck shot a 75 (+3) in the first round and came into the clubhouse with a 77 (+5) in the second round, ending the day at 8 over par.
Noah Koshi was 12 over on the day, shooting an opening round 76 (+4) and following it up by carding an 80 (+8) in the second round.
Brett Hassoun posted an 82 (+10) in the first round, reducing that score to 80 (+8) in the second round.
Hayden Ledvina and
Aidan Heikes rounded out the group of five, shooting 37 and 48 over par, respectively, for both rounds. As a team, the Bruins posted an opening round 324 and a second round 327.
On day two, only Ledvina completed the tourney, while the remaining golfers withdrew. Ledvina finished with a 90 on the day.
What Happens Next
The Bruins will hit the course next on March 21 in the Willamette Valley Cup, hosted by Willamette.
